GTS is seeking a talented Quantitative Researcher to join our US Equities Market Making team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating alpha models, building research infrastructure, analyzing and improving trading strategies.

As a quantitative researcher for Equities Market Making team, you will work closely with the team’s traders to research, develop and implement new ideas, models, and trading strategies. You will be an integral part of a small team working on US Cash equities and directly help to improve PnL. You will gain insight into how trading desks operate and how our traders evaluate trading opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market data and build alpha models.
  • Analyze our trading, and work with traders and developers on improving trading strategies.
  • Familiarity with US equities microstructure, including trading mechanisms, order types, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven experience in developing and working on market making models specific to US equities.
  • Strong ability to research and analyze quantitative data to design, optimize, and implement innovative market making strategies.

Qualifications

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline such as math, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or finance.
  • 2+ years of previous experience building alpha models, experience in US equity markets, and familiarity with equities market making business
  • Deep understanding and ability in mathematics and statistics.
  • Good programming skills and experience in at least one of Python, R, C++, Java.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to express complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Self-starter, desire to work in a less structured, startup-type environment.

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $225,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
