GTS is seeking to bring on an experienced, self-motivated attorney to join our corporate legal team as Senior Counsel.  Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this new hire will work closely with various GTS business leaders and teams. The candidate of choice will be engaged in a variety of corporate and regulatory matters, and will manage the drafting and negotiation of corporate documentation, counterparty agreements, and third-party vendor contracts.

• Draft and negotiate a range of corporate and other documents including NDAs, template agreements, vendor contracts, and other agreements with clients and counterparties.
• Collaborate with GC and outside counsel on entity formation and maintaining corporate records.
• Educate internal clients with respect to the positions and issues that arise during implementation of new service provider relationships.
• Serve as a resource for business leaders and subject matter expert on a variety of legal agreements and templates for use across the organization.
• Assist with employee-related agreements and policies.
• Support the management of long-term projects, engaging colleagues and ensuring completion.
• Work on cross-functional company initiatives and other special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Position is located in DC or NY.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in a law firm and/or in-house role including experience drafting and negotiating a range of corporate and other documents.
• General corporate law fundamentals (contracts review / contracts lifecycle management), business entity structure, M&A experience.
• Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to influence both internal and external parties.

• Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise potentially sensitive or contentious issues in a timely and constructive manner.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• High integrity, strong work ethic, and a commitment to timely follow-through on commitments.

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $240,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
