GTS is looking for a senior java developer to join our equities wholesale market making business. You will be working with other senior engineers, quant researchers as well as sales and trading desks to build our proprietary trading platform and strategies.

• Work with business stakeholders to build new and maintain existing trading platform features.
• Ensure the trading platform is built with high-performance solutions.
• Meet deadlines in support of a fast-moving release cycle.
• Leverage new technologies and approaches with continuous improvement in mind.
• Responsible for the analysis of project requirements and the development of technical specifications.
• Ability to independently analyze and troubleshoot complex applications.
• Performs unit and systems testing of applications/solutions.
• Has experience with all phases of application programming.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the software implementation lifecycle and specific programming languages.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in creating, maintaining, enhancing trading engines, order management systems and/or smart order routing solutions in US Equities
• Expert level knowledge of Java essential
• Strong understanding of FIX protocol, market data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in small, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
