Quantitative Trader, International ETF Team

Overview

The ETF trading group at GTS is seeking a Quantitative Trader to join our International ETF team. The role will cover designing, building and managing profitable trading strategies as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidates will work on projects across the international trading space. They will work closely with senior traders on proprietary strategies. They will gain insight into how these strategies operates and how our traders generate alpha. They will see their work directly impact the team’s activities and drive revenue.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a high achiever with a strong quantitative background. They should be very comfortable working in Python. They will have a lot of initiative, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a competitive environment. They should have an interest in building their understanding of trading, but a background in international ETF or equity trading is not strictly necessary. If you have the quantitative skills, we can teach you the rest.

Qualifications

  • B.S./M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline such as math, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or economics with a GPA over 3.6/4.0.
  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience but graduates may apply.
  • Deep understanding and ability in mathematics and statistics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Excellent communication skills: the ability to express complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in strategic and competitive games.

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $225,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
